Meet the Custodians of channel 1@ Kräklings 150
Doris & Stefan on Channel 1
Hi, I'm Doris (the one to the left, if you haven't guessed) and right next to me, the silver fox, that's Stefan. Kräklings 150 is a really, really old farm we fondly refer to as the "Channel 1 Farm".
I got the term "Channel 1" from Stefan, whom I met because I needed help with my Siberian rescue dog, Baykal. Don't get me wrong: Baykal is wonderful. When I first got him, though, and he went crazy over a hedgehog in my garden, I thought he might be possessed. The second I had gotten that dog back under control, I texted a friend for the number of the dog expert she had mentioned to me once.
When Stefan makes contact with a dog, everything in him aligns and integrates: thoughts, feelings, and sensations sync up and create an internal state that is open, present and connected. From this inner state - which I call "centered" and Stefan just calls "relaxed" – the signal is clear and there is a quality to the connection that makes things happen!
When we first stepped foot on Kräklings 150, we knew that this was not just a place for us to grow jordärtskocka, but our chance to create an eco-system of projects and activities in service of connection: to self, others and the natural world. And because the way you name your ship is how it's going to row (to paraphrase Gogol Bordello) we named the farm "Channel 1".
Since it's pretty pointless to do things in service of connection, if you don't tell anyone about it, I made this website and I'll try and update it and post new things on the custodian's logbook and the "areas of connection" page etc. So, maybe you want to subscribe to stay...connected?
